That's so weird that Brock (Nichols) is already coming back
from his mission. Brandon talked about that in his last letter.
Time really does blow by on missions. There is just 12 more days for me
here. I don't feel like I have been here more than a month, although it
probably seems like a lot longer for Connor. You don't know how much I
just wanna sit down and play a couple rounds of Super Smash Brothers with
him. Oh my travel plans should get here tomorrow so by next week I'll be
able to let you guys know exactly what's happening.
And as for ties, I'm not much of a tie trader here but
I might need some more regardless. All four of the Missionary Mall ties
are falling apart. Most missionary mall stuff is not high quality I've
learned. The suits and the socks work well but like I said the ties are
all falling apart, I haven't used the alarm clock yet but it seems pretty
cheap, those tie savers only work if your tie is lined up just right. The
coat seems to be working pretty well but I haven't actually used it
myself. Elder Burkey doesn't have a nice coat because he is from Arizona
and they don't sell those there so I have been letting him use mine. It's
not cold enough for a coat yet in my opinion. It's kind of funny when we
walk outside on p-days or service days at seven in the morning, everyone's all
bundled up and I'm out in shorts and a t-shirt. And it seems like I
handle it better than everyone else even with their coats.
Tanner and I run into each other quite a bit. James is
on a totally different schedule than me. We have a little overlap on some
of the meal times. He will be leaving as I get there, that's about all
the interaction we have. Matt was just here for three weeks because he
already spoke French. I see Jeff walking around every now and then.
The devotionals lately have been good but nothing really spectacular to
say. With Rob and Arif, Rob seems excited to pay tithing, that's
good. Arif always is very hesitant about everything. Both of them
are struggling with the no coffee. But other than that things seem to be
doing ok with them.
OK funny story of the week- Yesterday Elder Leavitt went to
the bathroom and clogged the toilet. He eventually felt so guilty that we
went back so he could unclog it. While he was plunging someone else in
our zone came in to pee and Elder Leavitt started making throwing up sounds and
then plunging really hard, it sounding pretty legit. The other Elder was
pretty worried about him. But anyway after he was plunging for about ten
minutes I told him to try flushing. From under the stall I saw a nice
fountain of loveliness flowing over the sides of the toilet bowl. Turns
out someone had flushed something down the toilet and my companion was unlucky
enough to be the next one to use it.
Anyway I'm at negative one minute on my time so gotta go.
Love you guys- Elder Pearce
