Busy Week

March 18, 2013

Alright so this week hasn't been super exciting down here, just busy. On Tuesday we had an extended district meeting about the elliptical that ended up taking a large portion of the day.

On Wednesday we had service and the park in the morning and then we had a trainer/trainee meeting at the office, which, with travel time, took up almost the whole day. It was a really good meeting though. It was more focused on the trainees, and they were with President Calderwood for most of it. We had a meeting with the APs that was quite a bit shorter which gave me a good chance to talk to Elder Denton and Elder Erickson and Elder Albornoz for a while. After that meeting we went straight to the church for a meeting with the bishopric member over missionary work. He told us that the bishopric wants to get a lot more involved in missionary work and wanted all of our ideas for activities and then they discussed them all in ward council. So that will help us get the work moving forward a little faster.

Thursday again was largely spent up by a street cleaning activity we did and then by weekly planning.

Friday was a pretty good day. We did some street sweeps through the afternoon then went and visited a big less active/part member family. Then after that we were able to meet with the C family again. We had a good lesson about the Fall and our life on earth out of 2 Ne 2. We are going back over tonight to teach the rest of the Plan of Salvation. They are still progressing well other than church attendance.

On Saturday we are now doing sports days at the park. We go down and invite a bunch of members and less actives and play for a few hours, trying to talk to the people we play with. We had a good game of soccer going, in the snow, which made it more fun. After that we pretty much knocked doors for the rest of the night. On the way home we were with the other Elders and hurried and stopped by the grocery store for some stuff and while we were there a guy came up and talked to us for a while about what we believe. He is really cool. Unfortunately for us he is English so he will have to be passed off to the English elders but that's all good.

Then yesterday at after church we had a meeting with the bishop as kind of a follow up about the meeting we had on Wednesday. So that was good.

Love you all,
