February 6, 2012

Dear Familia,
Ok so this was another good week.  Claudia and Misael are definitely ready for baptism.  Claudia's is scheduled for Saturday and Misael on Sunday. And with Ana, in the lesson with her before we got to the drop part she finally opened up to us about what has been holding her back.  We knew it was something to do with her husband but she told us that after work he just goes out and drinks.  He won't come home for two or three days a lot of the time.  Which means that she is pretty much working 24-7 with three young kids including a baby with bronchitis.  But she has a much stronger testimony than we thought she did.  By the end of that lesson we were all crying.  Every time we start thinking about dropping her she does something that makes us hold on a little longer.  Heavenly Father does not want us to give up on her so we are going to keep helping her as long as it takes.
Let's see, other news from this week.  I went to the endocrinologist, she ran a lot of blood tests and stuff so I don't know the A1C or anything yet (I have a follow-up appointment on the 13th).  But I've lost about 25 pounds. And my doctor is kind of a Nazi.  I'm a little scared of her.
What else... on Saturday we were helping a family in the ward move and as everyone was leaving our bishop tripped while his hands were in his pockets so he couldn't catch himself and he split his head open pretty good and got an AC separation.  The other elders that were with us gave him a quick blessing and when we checked up on him yesterday he said that while they were giving him the blessing he could feel his shoulder kind of pull back together.
We have no idea what is going to happen next transfer but odds are one of us will leave and one of us will stay.  We should find out Saturday.  My Spanish is feeling better, it's kind of hard to tell the progress on yourself.
And Connor, Happy Birthday! I love you and I miss you a lot.  I can't wait until you get the chance to go on a mission man, it's awesome. Just 5 more years now.
But I love all you guys, keep the prayers coming,
Elder Pearce
