Dear Familia,
Well this week was crazy. Elder Cabanilla got the AP
call on Monday night so we were in a trio with Elder McEwen (who lives in
California but his dad lives in the mansion on 200 S in the fifteenth ward) for
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. That is pretty fun working with other
missionaries but it also meant that we had to work both of our pools so we were
going all over the place nonstop every day.
On top of that we had to get ready for our three baptisms,
and their 1-3 baptisms (they had 1 for sure, one that was going to the last
minute to decide (he is atheist, but he really likes our church and wants to
believe, he just hasn't had his witness yet so he said no, which is really sad
because he is going back to Lima on Wednesday. Maybe Elder Corbridge will get
him.), and then an inactive who the zl's reactivated last transfer (nobody can
find his baptismal records so they are probably going to have to rebaptize him
but he decided to look for a few more weeks to see if anything came up).
So we ended up baptizing 4 people yesterday. Elder Albornoz baptized
William (the nine year old boy), I baptized Naydelin (the eight year old girl)
and Antonio. It was a very spiritual day.
I forgot to grab the cord for the camera to send the
pictures but I will probably send the memory card in a week or two after I back
them up to my flashdrive. And then all of yesterday afternoon and today I am
spending packing and saying my goodbyes. Me voy. And I could go almost
anywhere. Elder Albornoz thinks that I am either going to zone 3 (eastern
Brooklyn) or to Jamaica (Queens not the island) so we will see. If it is zone 3
then I will finally be able to get Connor his Christmas/Birthday present.
Well there should be a lot to say next week.
Love you guys,
Elder Pearce
